On September 6, 2007, President George W. Bush nominated E. Duncan Getchell to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.  In nominating Getchell, President Bush rejected a bipartisan list of five names that Virginia Senators Jim Webb (D) and John Warner (R) recommended for two 4th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals vacancies from Virginia.  Click here to read Earthjustice's September 7, 2007 statement regarding Getchell's nomination.
